Guess what's that most torturous trick to perform ???
Most of the time, I would do anything that masters ask me to do and would earn a treat. Recently, I was ask to stare at my food and not able to eat it!!!! Isn't that torturous????
My saliva almost overflowing from my mouth yet I have to patiently wait for the cue "OK" so that I can quickly run towards my food. The most cruel thing is, I am make to do it not only on my normal snack, its my main meal!!!
But I realised that its worth it cos I am earning my own meal now. I've to work to get it. I just hope that things don't get worse cos mummy master loves to think of ways to make me work. Its not easy but its alright. I'm treasuring and appreciatin
g my meal, my snack and my everything more and more.

hey, i oso do tat 2 my pacco... make her wait 4 few minutes... eventhough some might said its `cruel`....but i find its advantages... our dog will appreciate d food more... no like some who complaint tat their dog don't finish up d food....wat a waste...
No.. no.. not cruel at all, this is the way to discipline them, and also train them not to be 'over-excited' while waiting for the food.
I teach Hero and Casper to wait for some time before command them to eat, normal meal and treats... If they don't wait, I will snatch the food out of thier mouth :-P
Hero is showing improvement for not eating his food, but he is eating to 'protect' his food from being eaten by Casper instead of being teach to appreciate his food -_-" hahaha...
pacco n hero situation oso same as ur casper n hero...
i place separate bowl a distance away, 1 left 1 right.... pacco will eat @ d right n hero @ d left...but when pacco saw hero eating @ d left...she'll go and snatch d bowl @ d left....so hero sadly move 2 d right....but then pacco quickly move back 2 d right...
tis drive me headache...so i ended up.... pacco eating in front of d house....hero eating behind of d house...
ah.. that also make them more polite cannot snatch food from ppl.... but they still can snatch from dogs ya ? heheh..
nice to see them wait for their food and wait for the "Okay" command. When Whiskey look at his food he kept licking his tongue.. and look at me .. look at the food and look at me... so cute lah... sometimes i say "ok" alr he like still didnt hear and still sit there looking at the food I've to repeat louder 2nd time then only he runs to his food. hahahaha
I think we are the same like our dog to listen to us and be obedient.

Teach them to wait and eat just to make them learn to appreciate food and not to be over excited on that... To teach them not to snatch food from other dogs have to use the NO command liao...
Sometimes Casper too excited to see the Hero's food and ignore my NO command... ended up I have to use the newspaper roll to 'threat' him to not eat hero's food... and Casper will just lay down next to Hero's bowl, licking the outer part of Hero's bowl...haha

Saw ur blog on Pacco's site. Me... not so keen on food, prefer playing n looking after my ball den hovering over food. Luv tricks tho'.
But cn understand a Beagle's constant lust 4 treats n food. Coz hv a couple of Beagle frens who r d same. Always guided by nose n stomach.

usually the alpha dog will not let puppy snatch their food....
